How it all started..

Canine Barbers Dog Grooming was founded in 2000.

Previous to working in the dog grooming industry, I was lucky enough to be

able to gain more than enough experience working in various Rescue Centres throughout Essex.

My qualifications and grooming training were gained at Caythorpe Agriculture College in Lincolnshire.

Dog grooming is a profession that I really enjoy. Having had lots of previous experience in working with rescue dogs, this was a real benefit to help deal with temperaments and behaviour, and the understanding of dogs' minds. .This is the career that I had wished for, so after completing a business plan, i was awarded a start up loan from The Princes Youth Business Trust and

Canine Barbers Dog Grooming was born!

Furthering my career in 2000, Canine Barbers was one of the small businesses winning a Live Wire award, which was a cash award for one of the most successful business for young people!

In 2002 I was winning the most successful small business for the Royal Bank of Scotland!

For the past 4 years i have also been teaching dog grooming at

Otley College, Suffolk.
